I was not a normal child

I went in with guns blazing with my first post here in the wide world of substack, going after that mighty greenwashing whale that is Patagonia. I thought it might be good to take a step back to speak to my historic passion around textiles and fashion, which dates to when I was a child. Let me preface this by letting you know I was not a normal kid: I played with boxes of scrap fabrics, dressed up Barbie in different outfits but never actually played with Barbie, I loved picking up pins and needles from the ground when I went with my mom to her tailor, and eventually begged for a kids sewing machine as a Christmas/bday gift.
